Zoi, a Chartered Counselling Psychologist accredited by the British Psychological Society, completed her psychology and counselling training in London.
She practices cognitive behaviour therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, and person-centred therapy. Furthermore, she also practices Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), following her advanced training at the REBT Albert Ellis Institute in New York.
Zoi has extensive experience in delivering evidence-based therapy that suits the individual's needs and goals. Apart from face-to-face therapy, Zoi also provides telephoe and online counselling and is able to provide therapy in Greek.
Zoi has worked clinically in a range of settings. She has worked in the National Health Service with patients presenting with moderate to severe difficulties (i.e. anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, relationship difficulties, panic attacks, post traumatic stress disorder, eating disorders). Following this, Zoi worked in private practice as a CBT consultant for over 3 years with the Group Analytic Practice in central London.
She has extensive experience of providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy to individuals over a number of years at University College London. There, she also provides specialised training in CBT to other professionals and is working with groups for personal development in the public and private sectors. Currently, she is researching mindfulness at doctorate level at the University of Essex and the Tavistock Clinic in London.
Zoi's special interests are working with low self-esteem, depression, anxiety disorders, phobias, relationship difficulties and work-related stress in adults.
